A statement by Operation Dudula deputy chairperson Dan Radebe reveals that his arrest was linked to the Dobsonville case. Victor Ramerafe had accused Operation Dudula members of ransacking his house on a Sunday. In retaliation, he filed a lawsuit against Dlamini and Operation Dudula members.
According to reports, Operation Dudula gang members alleged that they were acting on tip-offs from the neighborhood that Ramerafe’s house was being used to sell illegal medicine. However, they found no narcotics during the invasion, but Ramerafe claimed his property was destroyed.
About Lux’s arrest, Dan Radebe said, “He didn’t resist, so it was a painless arrest. We’re still looking into the facts, but he’ll most likely appear in the Roodepoort magistrate’s court on Friday.” Lux was granted bail of R1,500, and he appeared before the Roodepoort Magistrate’s Court.
Vertex Events also reportedly sued the Operation Dudula leader for almost R600 000 for marketing his aviation company. The events firm filed papers in the Johannesburg High Court claiming payment from Dlamini and his company, Native Airways, for advertising his aviation company at an event in June 2015.
