Nigerian record producer and songwriter, Larry Gaaga has released a brand new single ‘Egedege’, produced by Masterkraft.
The cultural song ‘Egedege‘ features Indigenous rapper, Phyno, Highlife singer, Flavour, and the Unubi Egedege Queen, Theresa Onuorah.
Egedege is a renowned, traditional dance common in the Eastern region of Nigeria. The Egedege dance performance is adorned with royal outfits and the performance includes a combination of songs, dance, instrumentation — introduced by elaborate fluting led by the queen.
Larry Gaaga teams up with Queen Theresa Onuorah on this release, who actually popularized the Egedege dance in Nigeria. Indigenous Igbo singer; Flavour, as well as an indigenous rapper; Phyno add colour and spice to the overall delivery of this powerful single.
Egedege literally stands for ‘richness and bravery’ in the local slang and in all, this collab portrays a forceful representation of the diverse and rich Igbo culture in Nigeria.
